💪🏽 Train Like a Climber, Think Like a Fighter
Mt. Adams is no joke:
12 miles round trip. Over a mile up.
It’s like doing 700 flights of stairs with 40 pounds on your back.
You need to train. You don’t have to be a beast, but you do have to prepare. Because the climb is better—more fun, more freedom—when your body’s ready.
Training Tips:
Hike trails with your pack
Franklin Park stairs, Planet Fitness, Arc machines
Do what works—but do something
Rest a few days before the climb
Everyone signs a waiver before we go
🧭 Climb as a Crew
We hike in groups of 12, each with a solid leader.
You’ll be grouped by pace: Slow • Intermediate • Fast
We move together. The team only climbs as fast as its slowest member.
Couples: If one’s fast and the other’s not—decide now. Stay together and go slow? Or split and climb with different groups?
Join a pre-climb training hike—you’ll meet your squad and find your rhythm.
🍫 Fuel Up Right
Bring your own snacks—think energy + joy:
Protein bars, jerky, trail mix, PB&Js, chocolate, fruit, cookies.
At altitude, appetite drops. Bring stuff you want to eat.
Saturday Dinner – We’ll feed you. Hot meal at camp.
(We’ll need help carrying food and gear up.)
Sunday Breakfast – On your own.
Pack it light and easy: instant coffee, oatmeal, bagel, bar, etc.
LET’S GO!
We don’t do this alone.
We move as a crew. A family. A fellowship.
God walks with us—and when we hit that summit, we ain’t just flexing muscles. We’re testifying:
“By God’s grace, I climbed out of the old life—
and now I climbed this too.”
