YAKIMA SPRING CLEAN UP DAY

We’re just a few days away from THIS CITY MY CITY — and we can’t wait to serve alongside you! Here’s everything you need to know before this Saturday:

⏰ WHEN:

Saturday, May 3rd
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
*Free lunch served at 12PM!

📍WHERE:

Meeting location: 315 N 9th Street, Yakima
Look for the tents and check-in table when you arrive!

🚗 PARKING:

Street parking is available around the project area.

📝 CHECK-IN:

When you arrive, head to the check-in table:

  • Pick up your SERVE shirt (if you don’t have one yet)

  • Get your work instructions and assigned location for the day

🦺 WHAT TO WEAR:

  • Your SERVE shirt from previous years (or come get one if you don’t have one yet)

  • Closed-toe shoes or work boots

  • Clothes that can get dirty (yardwork, trash pick-up, etc.)

  • Layers for the morning chill and afternoon warmth

  • Work gloves (if you have them)

  • Sunscreen and a hat

🧤WHAT TO BRING:

  • Weed wackers and lawn mowers if you have them—the more the better!

  • A servant heart and a ready spirit!

  • OPTIONAL: 

    • Lawn chairs if you’d like a place to rest during breaks or lunch

    • A refillable water bottle (we’ll have refill stations)

    • Any small yard or gardening tools you can share

🚽BATHROOMS:

Portable restrooms will be available onsite for all volunteers.

👧🏻👦🏽KIDS:

Bring the kiddos! We’ll have special kid-friendly jobs set up so they can join in too.

We believe transformation happens when the Church shows up with servant hearts and open hands. Because this is more than a clean-up—this is what love looks like in work boots.

It’s about showing up like Jesus would—present, joyful, and ready to restore what’s been overlooked. A chance to love where we live and build trust with the neighbors we share it with.

Come get your hands dirty and leave with your heart full.
