YFC Kids volunteer team members and staff are committed to Loving God, Loving People, and Serving the World through partnering with parents. We want to see kids and students come to know and be encouraged in their personal relationship with Jesus. We believe that community is an important part of that journey. As such, it is our goal to create safe, welcoming and fun environments that allow us to support and encourage each and every child. With this in mind, we have created a COVID plan that will allow the space for relationship to continue to flourish and kids/ students to continue to be safe.

At a Glance:

Health Screening/ Temperature Checks: Each YFC Kids volunteer team member, staff, and child/student will be asked to answer a list of screening questions upon arrival. All persons will be encouraged to check their temperature at home before arriving but we will also have thermometers available to check temperature if unable to at home.

Face Masks: Adhering to the Face Mask Advisement, all persons 5 years of age and older will be asked to wear face masks at all times. *Medical Exemptions Permitted

Social Distancing: Our goal in the classrooms is to maintain social distancing within small groups. They will attend that day’s teaching, do crafts, spend time in discussion, eat, and play games together with this same group. All kids and leaders, 5 years of age and older, will be asked to wear face masks at all times.

Bathrooms: Per the recommendation, there can only be 2 people in the bathroom at any given time. We will have someone stationed outside of the bathrooms facilitating adherence to these guidelines. Bathrooms will be cleaned in compliance with the CDC recommended cleaning procedures.

Food: We will be providing water and snacks. To be in compliance with the recommendations, we will have our teams hand out the water and food to each child/student. Those handing out the snack will be wearing gloves and face masks.

Hand Sanitizer: There will be various hand sanitizer pump stations spread throughout the environments that contain 70% alcohol. We will be encouraging proper hand washing as well as frequent sanitizer use.

Suspected/ Confirmed Infection: If any of our volunteers team members, staff, or students begin to show signs/symptoms of sickness they will be asked to go home immediately to limit exposure. Persons who have been potentially exposed (small groups) will be notified and asked to stay home to limit possible exposure to others.
